Nora's Walking

Staci this one is for you! Hello everyone, we are back to blogging. Since we last checked in a lot has happened. Nora celebrated her FIRST BIRTHDAY! It was an amazing celebration with the Cizik Family and Grandma Morgan. Family generously came from Quincy, WA; Port Townsend, WA; Portland, OR and as far away as St. Louis, MO. We felt so blessed to have so many of Nora's Aunts, Uncles and Cousins and Grandma join us for such a momentous occasion. The following weekend we hosted another family event - Nora's cousin, Heather's bridal shower. It was a fun time with the ladies! That was all in February.

March flew quickly by and ended with Nora and I taking a trip to St. Louis to visit Grandma and Grandpa. Nora also saw her two Great Grandmas. We made a side trip to Kansas City. It was fun to catch up with some of my college friends and families I used to babysit for when I lived there. I am not sure where April went, except that I spent a good two weeks of it putting in some extra hours at work.

May is now upon us and Nora is such a joy as always. She is growing up way too fast! She started taking her first steps at the end of March and slowly gained confidence in standing on her own and taking more than a few steps at a time. About two weeks ago she started to walk as her preferred mode of getting around (see video below)! She is signing several words, "milk, more, please, bath, wash, all done" and her daddy's favorite - gives great kisses! The Lord has truly blessed us and we are forever grateful for all he has done in our lives.

Well...off to enjoy a little quite time...until next time. Oh yeah...and Mother's Day was awesome, but as far as I'm concerned everyday is Mother's Day!

Sunday, February 1 we had a small Super Bowl party. Chips, Dip and oh yeah...KFC! Too bad Alan had to watch it with a bunch of girls! At least we were all rooting for the same team. GO CARDINALS! Even though they didn't win we still had fun rooting for Kurt and the gang. We finished off the evening with Hot Toddy's. For those beverage novices..."spiked" Apple Cider with rum whip cream and a pumpkin pie spiced graham cracker crumb topping. Yum! Yum!

On Saturday, January 24th Nora fell asleep in her high chair. It was too sweet! She was waiting patiently for her Mommy to get off the phone and couldn't wait any longer so she decided to take her nap right her high chair. But don't worry after the photo shoot, Mommy cleaned up her sleepy baby, took her upstairs, and put Nora in her crib for a proper nap!

We have started blogging!

Welcome to the Cizik Family blog! We thought we would join the 21st century and begin telling people way more than they ever wanted to know about our family. Well...it might just keep Grandma happy so she can see new pictures of her favorite Grandaughter...that is if her mom keeps updating the photos...
